President's Report

Dear ACI San Diego Chapter Members,

As I begin my term as President of the ACI San Diego Chapter, I am excited for the year ahead and grateful for the opportunity to serve our chapter. ACI is a nonprofit educational society dedicated to advancing concrete knowledge and practice, and I am committed to upholding that mission by providing our members with meaningful opportunities to learn, connect, and grow. My goal throughout this year is to bring value to our membership through edifying educational programs, engaging networking events, and opportunities to connect with others throughout our industry.

Recent and Upcoming Events

May 8, 2026: ACI San Diego celebrated its 60th Anniversary and Awards Celebration. This special evening also marked my inauguration as President of the ACI San Diego Chapter. It was an exciting opportunity to celebrate the history of our chapter, recognize the contributions of our members and industry partners, and look ahead to the future of ACI San Diego.
June 23, 2026: We hosted our Annual Industry Night at the Ballpark. The event had a great turnout and provided an excellent opportunity to reconnect with fellow members and network with our industry partners. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all of our sponsors whose support helps make events like this possible. It was great seeing so many familiar faces and bringing our industry together outside of the office.
August 18, 2026: ACI San Diego, SEAoSD, and ASHRAE YMF will be joining together for a Trivia Night. This event is part of our continued effort to provide engaging networking opportunities, particularly for young professionals throughout the industry. We look forward to bringing members from across these organizations together for an evening of fun, competition, and networking.

Looking Ahead

As we look toward the remainder of the year, I am excited to expand the ways our chapter provides educational value to its members. Some of the opportunities I would like to explore include plant tours, ACI standards and specification reviews, and additional technical programs that allow members to learn from one another and stay connected to developments within our industry.

Just as importantly, I want to make sure that the programs we provide reflect what our members actually want and need. Our chapter is strongest when our members are actively involved, and I welcome honest feedback on the types of events, topics, and opportunities you would like to see from ACI San Diego.

Our chapter thrives on the involvement of its members. Whether you are interested in helping plan an event, joining a committee, suggesting a technical topic, or simply sharing an idea for something you would like to see from the chapter, I encourage you to reach out. Your feedback and participation will help us continue to build a chapter that provides meaningful value to its members and the broader concrete industry.
