President's Report

Dear ACI San Diego Members (Time for Padres Baseball!!),

As we usher in the spring season, it’s exciting to reflect on the accomplishments we’ve made together and the challenges that lie ahead. 2025 is shaping up to be an exciting year for the San Diego Chapter of ACI, and I am thrilled to share the initiatives and opportunities we have in store.

Our chapter’s mission has always been to promote the continued growth and education of our industry. Over the past months, we’ve seen an incredible amount of collaboration and energy in our community, particularly in our recent technical sessions and local outreach efforts. I would like to extend my gratitude to each of you for your dedication and enthusiasm in advancing the concrete industry in San Diego.

As we move forward into this year, there are a few key areas I’d like to highlight:

1.     UCSD Student Night is March 10^th: Join us for an engaging evening of networking as we host UCSD Student. These are the future leaders of our industry. It is a great opportunity to connect with bright and talented students.  

2.     YMF Group Golf Lessons are Coming up March 21^st and 28^th

3.     Educational Programs & Workshops: We are committed to providing cutting-edge learning opportunities. Look out for our upcoming workshops and seminars, where we will address the latest trends in concrete technology, sustainability, and construction practices.

4.     ACI Certification: Our certification programs continue to grow, and they remain a key component of professional development within our community. These certifications are an excellent way to demonstrate expertise and stay at the forefront of the industry.

5.     Community Engagement: ACI San Diego has always been dedicated to making a positive impact on our local community. Whether it’s through outreach programs or partnerships with local schools and universities, we will continue to foster relationships that benefit both our members and the region.

As always, I want to thank our board members, volunteers, and sponsors for their unwavering support. Without you, we would not be able to achieve the goals we set. I also encourage every one of you to get involved, whether through committee work, event participation, or mentoring the next generation of concrete professionals.

Together, we will continue to build a stronger, more resilient concrete industry, not just in San Diego, but across the nation. I am excited for the year ahead and look forward to seeing all that we will accomplish together.
